Ingredients:
1 kg tomatoes
200 ml plain water
50 ml lemon juice
Preparation Method:
Peel the tomatoes and grate them. Put the pulp together with the juice obtained in a bowl. Add the lemon juice. It is preferable to use a variety of tomatoes that are juicier. If the tomatoes are not juicy enough, add more plain water until you reach the optimal consistency for drinking. If the tomatoes are not sweet enough, you can add a little honey. Optionally, you can also add a basil leaf for a bit of aroma.
Benefits of Tomato Juice
Tomatoes have many miraculous properties. In ancient times, they were used as medicine to alleviate various health issues.
Rich in Vitamins
Fresh tomato juice is an excellent natural source of vitamins A and C. Regular consumption of tomato juice can help prevent vision-related diseases, strengthen the immune system, and protect against various illnesses.
Reduces Cholesterol
High cholesterol levels in the blood are very common today, mainly due to the increasing consumption of fatty processed foods. Fortunately, drinking tomato juice can help prevent high cholesterol levels. It is rich in fiber, which helps improve the level of good cholesterol in the body and reduce the amount of bad cholesterol. Moreover, it is packed with niacin (vitamin B3), which helps stabilize cholesterol levels in the blood.
Detoxifies the Body
Due to the increased consumption of processed and packaged foods, our bodies have become a repository of various toxins and food additives. Tomato juice helps eliminate harmful toxin deposits from the body. It also contains chlorine and sulfur, which assist the liver and kidneys in performing the detoxification process more effectively.
Stimulates Intestinal Movement
Irregular bowel movements are a common problem affecting millions of people. Frequent consumption of tomato juice is believed to keep the liver healthy, which can prevent constipation, aid digestion, and stimulate intestinal circulation.
Weight Loss
Tomato juice helps with weight loss as it keeps the body hydrated and provides a good amount of fiber, creating a feeling of fullness. It also supplies the body with the necessary nutrients and calories, ensuring that all metabolic activities are carried out optimally.
Protects the Heart
Rich in vitamin B, tomato juice is considered one of the best drinks for preventing heart diseases. It is believed that vitamin B6 breaks down homocysteine, a compound that damages blood vessels and leads to heart diseases.
Skin Health
It has many benefits for the skin. Applying fresh tomato juice directly to the skin can prevent acne, slow down sebum secretion (which contributes to acne), prevent skin discoloration, and help close pores, giving the skin a youthful and even appearance.
Fights Free Radicals
Free radicals are among the most harmful substances that attack the body. Fortunately, drinking a glass of this fresh juice every day can help prevent them from affecting the body. It is an excellent source of antioxidants that help us stay young, energetic, and active.
Good for Hair
Believe it or not, the iron and vitamins present in tomato juice could contribute to the shine of dry hair. Other hair issues, such as dandruff, can be avoided by applying fresh tomato juice directly to the scalp and leaving it on for a few minutes.
Prevents Cancer
Tomatoes are an excellent natural source of lycopene, a fat-soluble antioxidant that prevents various types of cancer, including lung, colorectal, pancreatic, breast, prostate cancers, and even other disorders such as coronary disease and atherosclerosis.
