Carrot Juice: A Simple, Affordable, and Exceptionally Healthy Drink – Benefits + Recipe for Juicer or Blender

Even if you don’t have an electric juicer at home, you can easily make carrot juice:
Cut the carrots into small pieces and place them in a blender (or grate them). Add water, enough to cover them. Blend until you achieve a smooth puree.
Then, add a little warm water to the mixture and let it infuse for 15-30 minutes.
Strain the juice using a fine sieve. Press the pulp with a spoon to extract as much liquid as possible.
The resulting juice should be consumed immediately, or it can be stored in the refrigerator for a maximum of 6 hours in dark-colored containers to prevent oxidation.

Carrot juice is a rich source of antioxidants. Carotenoids, found in carrots and other orange vegetables, are powerful antioxidants that help reduce the risk of various diseases. They support the immune system, protecting the body from damage caused by free radicals, harmful bacteria, viruses, and inflammation.
Carrot juice lowers the risk of heart disease and strokes. It supports heart health by reducing oxidative stress and improves the body’s defense against cardiovascular diseases.

Carrot juice also helps lower cholesterol and increase bile production, which enhances the body’s ability to digest fats. Not only does it help the digestive system absorb nutrients from food properly, but it also directly influences healthy cholesterol levels that protect the heart.
Research has shown that high levels of carotenoids protect the body against cancer. The antioxidants in carrots can fight leukemia cells and may play a role in reducing the risk of some of the most common types of cancer, including ovarian and breast cancer.
The nutrients found in this juice help improve immunity, including the body’s ability to fight oral bacteria. Certain antibacterial minerals help prevent tooth decay. They help remove plaque and stains from teeth, and its fibers support the natural digestive system, eliminating unwanted bacteria from the intestines.
Beta-carotene is essential for healing any type of wound and helps keep the skin youthful and radiant.
Carrot juice supports brain health, improves memory, and prevents cognitive diseases. This is due to the carrot’s ability to reduce oxidative stress in the brain, which can weaken nerve signaling capacity.
