The mixture of garlic and honey is one of the classic remedies that has been used for many years to cure colds and coughs, as well as for weight loss. Both have properties that stimulate the immune system and contain natural compounds that have been scientifically proven to have positive effects on the body.
Garlic and Honey
Garlic contains allicin, an organosulfur compound that helps boost immunity. Many preclinical studies show that the organosulfur compounds in garlic have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and cardioprotective activities. Additionally, honey contains compounds with antimicrobial and antibacterial properties. When combined, garlic and honey are considered a powerful home remedy for boosting the immune system and improving overall health. While crushing garlic with honey is the quickest way to obtain it, it is known that fermented garlic honey has extraordinary health benefits.
