Its nutritional composition makes it one of the healthiest oils for consumption and application on the skin. The main component of sunflower oil is linoleic acid. Other components include oleic acid and palmitic acid. Additionally, it contains lecithin, carotenoids, tocopherols, and significant amounts of vitamins A, D, and E.
