It was already the third day when my wild pig kept digging in the same area,

My hand trembled as I lifted the piece of fabric. Beneath it, I spotted the edges of a heavy object, deformed by the earth. I carefully pulled it out and uncovered an old wooden box, cracked and covered in mud. The smell of mold hit me immediately, but something inside pulsed with mystery.

I opened the lid and found a stack of old papers, with curled edges and damp stains. The writings were shaky, with ink faded by time, but I immediately recognized a document that made our hearts race — a debt paper from our grandparents’ time, with amounts in lei, promises of payment, and names we only heard in the stories of the old folks in the village.

As I flipped through the papers, the pig dug deeper and came across something metallic. It was a small box, also made of wood, with a rusty lock. I carefully opened it and discovered old jewelry: wedding rings, stone rings, and a few silver coins. Everything seemed hastily hidden by someone who wanted to keep the family’s treasures a secret.

A feeling of awe and respect washed over me. That treasure was not just objects and papers, but stories, secrets, and past lives, carefully preserved by our ancestors. My pig, unknowingly, had unearthed the history of our family.

I closed the box and carefully placed everything on the table, feeling that I had stumbled upon a treasure more valuable than any money. I looked around at the quiet yard, where the sun’s rays made the earth sparkle, and realized that sometimes the greatest discoveries come from the least expected sources… even from a stubborn pig.

That day remained in my memory as a story about family, secrets, and bonds tightly woven through time, and my pig became the hero who brought our past back to the present.
