Kalanchoe blossfeldiana is a succulent plant native to Madagascar, belonging to the Crassulaceae family. The plant has medicinal properties and has been used in traditional medicine to treat conditions such as ulcers, burns, wounds, inflammations, infections, and fever.
Kalanchoe has cosmetic effects, being used as an ingredient in facial masks, moisturizing creams, or toners for the skin. The juice extracted from the plant’s leaves has astringent, healing, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant properties.
Other benefits
In case of bleeding and pain, take fresh leaves of the plant, wash them, chop them into small pieces, and pass them through a meat grinder. Squeeze the juice from the resulting mass and transfer it to a piece of cheesecloth, applying it to the painful area. This remedy helps stop bleeding and relieve any pain.
Abscesses and varicose veins
Pour boiling water over the plant’s leaves. Simmer gently for twenty minutes. Take 100 ml of the medicinal infusion three times a day.
This infusion is recommended for inflammatory gastrointestinal diseases. Additionally, it can be used to treat purulent wounds. This remedy helps eliminate the inflammatory process of the gums, treat throat diseases, and relieve tooth pain.
Take the plant’s leaves, wash them, chop them finely, and squeeze the juice from them. Add 200 ml of water and boil in a water bath. Take 50 ml of the infusion four times a day.
For rhinitis and sinusitis
Squeeze the juice from the plant and drop two drops into each nostril several times a day.
Eczema, acne, dermatitis
It is recommended to treat the affected areas of the skin with freshly squeezed kalanchoe juice several times a day.
Stomatitis, gum diseases
Squeeze the juice and massage the gums three times a day. Additionally, it is recommended to rinse the mouth with juice diluted with warm water. There should be at least six such procedures.
Hematoma, wounds, eczema, joint pain
Mix 40 grams of fresh juice with about fifty grams of melted lard. Massage the affected area with the obtained ointment. The product should be strictly stored in the refrigerator.
