How to Make Rosehip Syrup for Healing Various Ailments

Rosehips are known for the benefits of teas made from these fruits, but they can also be used to prepare syrups with the same benefits. Rosehips have a high content of vitamin C, which helps absorb iron and calcium, aids in wound healing, boosts immunity, combats infectious diseases, revitalizes both the mind and body, maintains the permeability of blood vessels, and tones the walls of blood vessels.
In 100 grams, rosehips contain 20 times more vitamin C than lemons. Therefore, rosehip syrup is ideal for immunity, but it also has other properties and benefits. Thus, rosehip syrup: supports the immune system; helps restore the body after infectious diseases; combats anemia by accelerating the production of red blood cells; aids in calcium fixation in bones; stimulates blood circulation, maintains the permeability of blood vessels, and tones the walls of blood vessels.
Rosehip Syrup Recipe
Ingredients:
1 kg rosehips
water
750 g of sugar for each liter of syrup produced

Preparation Method:
Wash the rosehips and remove the stems and tips. Use a fruit juicer or a blender to crush them. Boil almost 2 liters of water, and when it reaches a boil, immediately add the crushed rosehips to the pot, as vitamin C starts to dissipate once they are cut. After the rosehips come to a boil, turn off the heat and let it cool for 15 minutes. Then strain the mixture through a sieve and put the remaining pulp back in the pot with about 1 liter of water, bringing it to a boil again to extract all the essence from the fruits. Strain the resulting syrup again, which should start to have the density of tomato juice. You can repeat this process a third time if you want to obtain a thicker syrup. For each liter of syrup produced, add 750 grams of sugar and then bring it to a boil again. Turn off the stove as soon as the syrup starts to boil. Once it has boiled, you can start bottling the syrup in sterilized jars of smaller sizes.
Take one tablespoon of syrup three times a day or it can be added to desserts.
TIP: The jars with syrup should be stored in a cool, dark place and kept in the refrigerator after opening.
