Mihaela Bilic emphasized that canned fish should be on the shopping list when we go to the supermarket. The nutritionist stated that regardless of the type of canned fish chosen (tuna, sardines, mackerel, herring), it is a rich source of Omega-3. It is a healthy food, especially if consumed in tomato sauce.
Canned fish is a product that deserves more attention. I thought I should make a small recommendation: do not underestimate canned fish; they are a practical, efficient, and inexpensive source of Omega-3. Whether it is tuna, sardines, mackerel, herring, or another type of fish, a can of fish is healthy, dietary (if you choose it in brine or tomato sauce, not in oil), and ready to eat!, said Mihaela Bilic.

The nutritionist pointed out that a can of sardines could cover the daily calcium requirement for an adult. She highlighted that the variant in tomato sauce can enhance iron absorption in the body. Fish contains essential fatty acids and minerals.
