Potatoes have gained a bad reputation because they are generally fried in a lot of oil, but when consumed boiled or in juice form, they are very nutritious.
This vegetable contains carbohydrates, proteins, fibers, and vitamins such as B, A, and C. Additionally, they are an excellent source of magnesium, iron, potassium, and others.
However, be careful; if they start to grow roots, become soft to the touch, or have green spots, these should be discarded as these factors indicate a high content of solanine, which is a substance with fungicidal and pesticidal properties, quite dangerous for health.
Despite popular beliefs, potato juice has alkaline properties, which help reduce acidity and other gastric issues, such as cramps, gas, or gastritis.
Raw potato juice is very easy to prepare as you only need a juicer and a few raw, peeled, and washed potatoes.
If you don’t have a juicer, you can grate the potatoes finely and squeeze out all the juice from them.
If you cannot consume it plain, you can add a carrot or a banana. It is sufficient to consume half a cup of raw potato juice three times a day, about an hour before each meal, for a period of two weeks.
Other remedies for reflux include fermented foods, chamomile tea, or ginger tea.
