Goji: Why They Are Beneficial and Who Should Avoid Them

In China, the healing properties of goji berries have been well known for millennia. The ancient medical texts paid special attention to these small fruits. They state that they restore the body’s fluid deposits, revitalize the skin, nourish muscles and tendons, protect against diseases, enhance vision, and offer a longer life. Goji berries also have a great capacity to absorb oxygen radicals, which is very important in preventing oxidation, maintaining cell integrity, and, implicitly, in preventing cellular aging.
