The Girl Called the Police and Said Her Father Was Under the Floor

The girl called the police and said her father was under the floor: when the officers started to lift the boards, they saw something horrifying 😱😱

A strange and frightening call was received at the local police station.

– Hello… – a girl of about eight years old sobbed with a thin voice. – Please, help me… my dad is under the floor…

The duty officer frowned and looked at his colleague.

– Under the floor? Little girl, can you give the phone to your mom or dad?

– Dad hasn’t been home for several days. And mom doesn’t believe me, she says I’m making it up. But I know he’s under the floor. He told me himself.

– Wait a minute… – the man changed his tone, becoming more serious. – How did he tell you, if he’s not home?

– I saw him in a dream, – the girl whispered. – He told me he went far away… and that he’s under the floor…

At first, the officers smiled and thought it was just a child with a vivid imagination or perhaps some psychological issues, and they were ready to refer the case to social services. But something in the girl’s voice – that desperate sincerity – wouldn’t let them rest.

– Let’s check, just to be sure… – one of the agents said. – If it’s true after all…

When they arrived at the indicated address, they were greeted by the girl’s mother – a well-groomed, slightly agitated woman of about forty. She was surprised by the visit but invited them inside. The girl stood next to her, clutching a stuffed bear in her arms, and silently pointed to a spot near the wall in the living room. Right under the newly installed floorboards.

The officers decided to lift the floor exactly where the girl had indicated. And what they found shocked everyone 😱😱

– Where is your husband? – the police asked.

– On a business trip, – the woman replied quickly. – In another city… I think in… Serbia. Or Slovenia. I don’t remember exactly. He travels a lot.

– Can you call him?

– His phone is dead, – she hesitated. – Probably…

While one of the officers unsuccessfully tried to reach the “gone” man, the other began to talk to the neighbors. No one had seen the man for over a week.

He hadn’t gone to work, hadn’t contacted anyone. No airline had recorded any flights under his name.

When the police said they wanted to take apart the floor, the woman became visibly nervous.

– We just finished the renovation! Do you know how much it cost? Who will pay for the damages?

– If we don’t find anything, the insurance will cover everything, – the senior officer replied curtly.

They began to lift the boards in the area indicated by the girl.

After a few minutes, a scream was heard. One of the officers stepped back suddenly, dropping tools from his hand. In the heavy silence, his voice thundered like a clap of thunder:

– I found… a corpse.

They pulled the body of a man from under the floor. He was wrapped in construction plastic, partially covered with polyurethane foam and concrete. There were almost no signs of a struggle. It seemed he had died from a single powerful blow to the temple.

The autopsy confirmed everything. During an argument, the woman had fatally struck her husband with a heavy object. When she realized what she had done, she decided to hide the crime, taking advantage of the fact that a renovation was taking place in the house.

The workers thought she was simply asking them to pour the concrete deeper. No one suspected anything.

And the girl… the girl really did dream of her father. He came close to her, smiled sadly, and said:

– Tell them. I’m under the floor. I’m close. Don’t be afraid.

And she told.
