The tea that eliminates uric acid and cleanses the joints. Doctor: Drink it for only 3 days

In joint diseases and high uric acid levels, decoctions and infusions made from bay leaves are often prescribed. These can be indicated for various types of arthritis, spinal osteochondrosis, joint arthrosis, gout, and also as a general strengthening agent for the musculoskeletal system, says doctor Victoria Stoyanova.

This will eliminate harmful deposits from the joints: a few aromatic leaves are placed in boiling water and consumed for only 3 days, advises the doctor.

The composition of bay leaves is surprisingly rich. They eliminate heavy metal deposits from the body due to the phytoncides they contain and normalize blood circulation due to vasodilation. The tannins in their composition have an anti-edematous effect. Vitamins A, C, PP, B group, as well as iron, zinc, copper, manganese, and selenium boost overall immunity.

Over the years, harmful substances gradually accumulate in the joints. Home-prepared decoctions and infusions effectively eliminate the accumulated deposits. To prepare the decoction, 10 g of dried bay leaves are poured with 3 cups of water, the liquid is boiled for 5 minutes, then poured into a thermos, left for 5 hours, and strained.

Drink 100 ml of the infusion 3 times a day for 3 days. Take a break for 1 week. Repeat the treatment 1-2 more times. After treatment, take a break of 3 months, says the specialist.

The expert adds that not only the decoction but also the infusion from bay leaves is therapeutic.

To prepare the infusion, pour 5-10 bay leaves with 600 ml of boiling water, and let it steep for 3 hours. Then strain the liquid and add 2 tablespoons of honey.

Drink 1 cup a day, divided into 3 doses. The treatment course lasts for 3 days. If necessary, it can be repeated once or twice during the week, recommends the doctor.

Due to the rich chemical composition and high percentage of essential oils, decoctions and tinctures of bay leaves have contraindications. They can have a negative effect in cases of ulcerative lesions of the stomach and intestines, pregnancy and breastfeeding, a tendency to constipation, severe forms of diabetes, and acute and chronic liver pathologies. Consult a doctor before using the mentioned remedies, the specialist further commented.
