Three-Leaf Tea, Recommended by Maria Treben for Kidneys

In the writings of the renowned Austrian healer Maria Treben, we find a simple and effective recipe for supporting kidney function: three-leaf tea. This natural blend is considered a valuable aid in cases of urinary inflammation, kidney stones, and chronic kidney conditions, due to the synergistic properties of the three plants in its composition.

What Does Three-Leaf Tea Contain?

According to Maria Treben, this tea is prepared from:

  • Nettle leaves (Urtica dioica)
  • Birch leaves (Betula pendula)
  • Dandelion leaves (Taraxacum officinale)

These three leaves work together to support toxin elimination, stimulate diuresis, and reduce inflammation at the renal level.

Benefits

1. Nettle Leaf – Anti-inflammatory and Remineralizing
Rich in chlorophyll, silicon, potassium, and iron, nettle leaf has significant diuretic effects, eliminating excess uric acid, contributing to the reduction of edema, and aiding in kidney healing. Studies show that nettle extracts can significantly reduce inflammation at the renal level (J Ethnopharmacol, 2012).

2. Birch Leaf – The Plant Filter of the Urinary System
Birch leaves contain flavonoids and volatile oils that act as urinary antiseptics. They stimulate urinary flow without irritating the kidneys, making them ideal for recurrent urinary infections. A study published in Phytomedicine (2011) showed a decrease in bacteriuria in patients treated with birch extract.

3. Dandelion Leaf – Hepatic and Renal Drainer
This plant has a strong detoxifying action, supporting liver and kidney function by increasing urine production and eliminating toxins. Studies have confirmed its diuretic properties without significant loss of electrolytes (Integr Med Insights, 2009).

The synergy of these three leaves makes the tea a complete remedy for supporting kidney function, being useful in cases of cystitis, mild pyelonephritis, edema, renal fatigue, and fluid retention.
