Benefits of Wild Garlic Compresses
Compresses with wild garlic are beneficial not only for joint pain and swelling but also for chest ailments. In this case, the compress is applied to the chest and left to act for 30 minutes. There are no studies confirming this remedy yet. However, garlic has been used for this purpose in Indian medicine for a long time.
Wild garlic contains much stronger active principles than regular garlic.
How to Make a Wild Garlic Compress
Take a handful of wild garlic leaves and wash them.
Chop them finely, then mash them with a pestle in a mortar. If you don’t have such a utensil at home, chop the wild garlic as finely as possible until it becomes a paste. You can also use a blender or food processor.
The resulting paste is spread on a piece of thicker cheesecloth, which is applied to the areas affected by pain or rheumatic edema.
Leave it to act for a few hours or overnight.
Cover it with a plastic wrap, then secure it with a thick scarf.
If the pain is severe, apply the compress twice a day. The treatment duration is 14 days.
