Upon reaching menopause, which typically occurs between the ages of 45 and 55, many women face not only physical changes but also psychological ones, and the symptoms can be quite unpleasant.
Hormonal treatments and symptomatic therapies for menopause should only be recommended by a specialist, even natural ones.
In addition to a diet based on green vegetables, dairy, fruits, and plenty of water, there are several plants that alleviate the troublesome symptoms of menopause, such as hot flashes, insomnia, or feelings of irritability.
For example, lavender, lemon balm, motherwort, hawthorn, and sage are beneficial in treating the physical imbalances caused by menopause. Extracts from raspberry, blackberry, rosemary, and mulberry are also effective.
Hawthorn tea is a favorite choice. Women experiencing menopause should consume two cups of tea daily, as it is indicated for hot flashes, insomnia, and treating feelings of irritability. Sage tea also has calming properties and helps stop excessive sweating.
Motherwort tea is effective in combating hot flashes, palpitations, and depressive feelings that accompany menopause. The infusion of motherwort is prepared from 3 tablespoons of the plant in 200 ml of boiling water. Daily, take 5 tablespoons of the infusion.
Sage tea reduces excessive sweating and stabilizes endocrine activity. Sage is administered during menopause in powder form. Six times a day, take one teaspoon of powder and hold it under the tongue for 5 minutes, then swallow with water. Sage powder is recommended to be consumed for 2 weeks.
Bearberry is another plant that is administered in powder form and is obtained from the seeds or roots. Take one teaspoon of powder four times a day before meals. The powder is held under the tongue and then swallowed with water.
