Legends say that in the Middle Ages, this plant was used during plague epidemics, while in Ancient Rome, it was believed that its scent helped memory and made a person think clearly.
According to herbalists, with the help of rosemary, you can prepare an oil for massaging the areas affected by varicose veins, and this remedy will help you get rid of this unpleasant and painful condition.
Rosemary stimulates blood circulation and, therefore, can be useful for treating varicose veins. This plant contains rosmarinic acids and plant polyphenols that protect tissues from damage caused by free radicals. It also contains ursolic acid, which strengthens capillaries.
Simple Recipe to Prepare
Wash a few sprigs of rosemary and let them dry on a paper towel. For the first recipe, you will need three sprigs of rosemary. After washing them, remove the leaves from the sprigs.
Once you have dried the leaves, chop them finely with a knife and place them in a glass jar.
Then take ten bay leaves and break them into small pieces, adding them over the rosemary leaves. Bay leaves are a natural antiseptic with anti-inflammatory properties and analgesic effects. Bay leaves help improve immunity and calm nerves, treat varicose veins, and relieve muscle pain.
Pour 200 ml of olive oil over these leaves, but you can also use sunflower oil.
Then place the jar in a water bath, meaning in a pot with water where you have placed a kitchen towel, and put it on low heat to bring it to a boil. After it has boiled, remove the jar and stir.
Put the lid on the jar and wrap it in a towel, then store it in a dark and cool place. After two to three days, take the jar out and stir the contents. After eight days, strain the oil, and you can start using it to massage the areas affected by varicose veins.
Tea for Blood Thinning
Put two to three teaspoons of hawthorn and four sprigs of rosemary in a pot. Add 500 ml of water and simmer on low heat for ten minutes.
A cup of hawthorn and rosemary tea per day helps thin the blood and, implicitly, improves blood circulation, and can also help you get rid of varicose veins.
Rosemary has a strong antiseptic and anti-inflammatory action due to the numerous volatile oils, phenolic acid, and flavonoids it contains.
Natural Brain Tonic
It is a legendary brain tonic that improves memory and stimulates concentration. In the form of an infusion, rosemary tea is also a very good energizer, as it stimulates oxygen absorption in cells, especially when combined with thyme, herbalists say. Sweeten with honey and you can add lemon to taste.
Contraindications:
It should be consumed in moderation during pregnancy, in cases of epilepsy, and high blood pressure.
