Homemade Anti-Wrinkle Eye Cream with 4 Healing Ingredients (Recipe)

Since we cannot see inside the body, the skin often provides the first evident signs of aging and the passage of time. It is a well-known fact that as we age, our skin becomes less elastic, resulting in dry skin and wrinkles. Often, the first visible area is not just the face, but also around the eyes.
Now, diet plays a huge role in how our skin looks and feels; however, there are ways to positively affect the skin and create a beautiful glow with fewer wrinkles, including less visible wrinkles in the corners of the eyes, using natural remedies, including this homemade eye cream made with four ingredients that help the delicate skin.
Why do we develop wrinkles at the corners of the eyes?
Although it seems that the best solution is simply to replace the oils we lose due to aging and free radicals found in environmental toxins, it is not that easy. As reported by the journal Dermato Endocrinology (USA), skin aging is a complex biological process influenced by a combination of factors such as genetics, cellular metabolism, hormones, and metabolic processes, as well as chronic exposure to light, pollution, ionizing radiation, chemicals, and toxins. These factors together lead to progressive changes in each layer of the skin, as well as changes in the skin’s appearance, especially in areas exposed to the sun.
Aging skin appears wrinkled and dry, especially in the eye region, and is very common due to years of abuse. This happens due to the gradual loss of skin elasticity.
What can help reduce wrinkles around the eyes? The reduction of type VII collagen, often caused by sun-exposed aging skin, can contribute to the appearance of wrinkles by weakening the connection between the dermis and epidermis as we age. Due to the loss of collagen, older skin begins to look irregular and disorganized, with an increase in the number of wrinkles and less firm areas of the skin, especially on the face and around the eyes.
It is known that the total collagen content per unit area of skin decreases by about 1% per year. Three primary structural components of the dermis—collagen, elastin, and glycosaminoglycans (GAG)—have been the focal point of most anti-aging research related to skin, including anti-wrinkle creams and various fillers that you can find at dermatologists.
Therefore, we strongly advise you to use a collagen supplement (powder or capsule/tablet) to increase your collagen levels, and one of the first places you will notice an improvement will be around the eyes.
Additionally, to achieve healthy, smooth, blemish-free, translucent, and resilient skin, consider making an eye cream.
4 Ingredients
Since these four ingredients are pure and this eye cream recipe does not contain toxic ingredients, they can be safely and effectively absorbed, helping the skin and the areas around the eyes to retain moisture and thus reduce the appearance of wrinkles. It works by allowing the nutrients and proteins from these ingredients to encourage cellular regeneration.
The first ingredient is shea butter. It is very moisturizing. When applied to the skin, it immediately provides softness and smoothness. Moreover, a study indicates that shea butter stimulates collagen production, demonstrating significant anti-aging potential.
Next is coconut oil, which is excellent for the skin, including around the eyes. Research shows that virgin coconut oil improves the symptoms of skin conditions by hydrating and soothing the skin. It also protects the skin by enhancing its barrier function.

Vitamin E oil can help improve fine lines and wrinkles, providing an antioxidant boost that protects against sun damage and encourages the healthy growth of new skin cells. When used both internally and externally, antioxidants are known for their ability to combat free radicals and skin aging, including wrinkles and dark spots.
Finally, several essential oils work well for the skin, but geranium oil is the best choice. Benefits include the ability to tighten the skin and improve its tone, elasticity, defense mechanisms against bacteria or blemishes, and appearance as we age. It can also help tone and lift the skin.
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons unrefined shea butter
2 tablespoons unrefined coconut oil
1 tablespoon vitamin E
10 drops geranium essential oil
Preparation Method:
Place the shea butter and coconut oil in a glass bowl, then place that bowl in a pot filled with water. Make sure not to let water enter the bowl.
Carefully place the pot with the bowl on the stove. Heat over medium heat and stir the oils together with a whisk. Whisk until completely melted.
Remove the glass bowl from the pot and let it cool for 30 minutes. Add the vitamin E oil and geranium essential oil and mix again. Once mixed, place the bowl in the refrigerator for an hour or until it solidifies.
Remove from the refrigerator. Using a regular mixer or a hand mixer, whip the oils until fluffy. Fill a glass jar with the eye cream mixture and store at room temperature. Try to use it within three months.
Apply it morning and evening around the eyes after you have showered or bathed, or after washing your face, when the skin is still damp.
